Mindful Parent and Baby Workshop
£80 for a block of 6 £15/session
Thursdays 10am - 11.30am
The course will provide a safe space for you to feed your baby, discuss any breastfeeding issues or worries and finish with a lovely relaxation to help raise your oxytocin levels which are needed for you to feed your baby effectively. A study in 2019 carried out by Shukri et al found that mothers who listened to a guided relaxation twice a day for the first two weeks and then as much as possible after that had babies who drank more milk, gained more weight and slept more (on average 82 mins more per day) than the control group!
There will be plenty of space for you and your baby to stretch out and refreshments will be provided so you get the chance to have a hot cuppa that you didn't even need to make yourself!
With the statistics showing that 80% of women stop breastfeeding before they feel ready (largely due to lack of support) having a good support network around you will allow you to feed you baby until you decide it is time to stop, and not a moment before. I will be on hand to offer support, advice and encouragement, alongside other local parents in the group.
